Eligibility Criteria
To become a graphic designer, you typically need a 10+2 (higher secondary) qualification. However, for professional roles, a diploma or a bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field is often preferred.
To become a web developer, there are no strict educational requirements, but having a minimum qualification of 10+2 (higher secondary education) in any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) is recommended. While a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (such as B.Tech, B.E, B.Sc, or BCA) can enhance job prospects, it is not mandatory. Many web developers enter the field through diploma courses, online certifications, or self-learning. Essential technical skills include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks like React or Angular, along with backend technologies such as Node.js, PHP, or Python, and knowledge of databases like MySQL or MongoDB. Additionally, familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub) and website hosting is beneficial. Since web development is a skill-based profession, employers often prioritize practical experience, coding skills, and a strong portfolio over formal degrees. As a result, many individuals successfully become web developers through self-learning, coding bootcamps, and online courses without a traditional degree.
